Expansion and prestige
How many villages you can hold is set not by resources but by prestige — and that grows only with development and time.
Prestige
- The number of villages is limited not by resources but by prestige.
- It accrues by itself over time — 2 points per hour for every building level across all your villages together.
- Nothing else raises it, so the pace of expansion is set by development and time, not by hoarding.
Village slots
| Village | Prestige needed |
|---|---|
| village 2 | 875 |
| village 3 | 2,625 |
| village 4 | 7,875 |
Every further slot costs 3× more than the one before.
Founding and conquest
- The cap applies to conquest too — without a free slot you cannot take a foreign village.
- Founding uses up an envoy (a Prelate, a Priest or a Druid).
- It also costs the source village resources: a base of 800 wood, 800 stone, 800 iron and 400 food, ×1.6 for every village you already have.
